25th Annual
NATIONAL NIGHTOUT
TO BE HELD TUESDAY, AUGUST 5th, 2008!

Anytime between 6:00 & 9:00pm
Americas Night Out Against Crime

On Tuesday, August 5th, 2008, neighborhoods throughout Orange County are urged to join forces to promote the
25th Annual National Night Out
crime and drug prevention event.

National Night Out is designed to:
1) Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
2)Generate support for and participation in local anticrime efforts;
3)Strengthen neighborhood spirit and law enforcement community partnerships;
4)Send a message to the criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and will fight back.

From 6pm to 9pm on Tuesday evening, August 5th, 2008, residents in neighborhoods in our area are asked to turn on their outside lights and spend time outside with neighbors and law enforcement personnel. Many communities will be planning a variety of special events, such as Block Parties, Childrens Decorated Bicycle Parades, The best decorated outside light post; just an example to the events that can be held in your community. Be Creative!

NNO activities, however, can be as simple as bringing your lawn chairs out front and visiting with neighbors.
Lemonade & cookies is optional!
